Dior Resort 2016
Following up with Chanel’s and Louis Vuitton’s bold move, the globe-trotting fashion pack descended upon Cannes for Dior. Just like the preceding brands’ shows, monumental architecture seemed to develop into a trend, and on that note, Dior hosted their Resort 2016 Show at Bubble Palace, 'Palais Bulles', located on Riviera coastline, also recognized as Pierre Cardin’s residence. For Resort 2016 collection, the designer showcased basic color on flattering silhouettes, perforated details to integrating shiny sequined-like fabrics with codes of the historic house. One thing that seemed to tip-off is that though the collection screamed summer, all the models sported pointed boots that seem a little unappealing and uncomfortable.

Evidently, Raf Simmons emphasized on the prominence of impeccable tailoring, nipped waists tucked by gathered peplums and curved accents- like a crochet skirt. If you paid closer attention, you will be impressed by the little details of mismatched earrings worn by models. No this is not coincidental; looks like this will be an upcoming trend. Kudos to Dior!
